QR Code generator — Guide
Generate and download a QR code for a URL (or just plain text), and customize the background and foreground colors.
What it is and when to use it
Generate a QR code for any URL or plain text, tune the foreground and background colours, and download the result as a PNG. Everything is rendered in your browser — the encoded content never leaves the page — so it is safe for internal links and credentials-shaped test data alike.
Turns text or a link into a QR code, with customisable colours and size, ready to download.
How to use it
- Enter what to encode (a URL or any text)
- Adjust the foreground colour, background colour and size as needed
- Click download to save the image

Things that trip people up
- Longer content makes a denser code; if it will not scan, shorten the content or increase the size
Questions people ask
- Can I change the colours?
- Yes. Keep strong contrast between foreground and background — scanners rely on it. Dark-on-light is the safest combination; inverting the usual colours works only if contrast stays high.
- What actually goes inside a QR code?
- Exactly the text you type — nothing more. A URL QR code simply stores the URL; scanning apps just open or show it.
- How do I print it reliably?
- Prefer a quiet margin around the code, high contrast, and a physical size large enough for the scanning distance. Test the printed version with at least two different phones before mass printing.
