Case converter — Guide
Transform the case of a string and choose between different formats
What it is and when to use it
Convert a string into every naming convention you run into day to day: camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case and more, all from one input. Ideal when an API field becomes a database column becomes a CSS class and each layer demands its own style.
Changes case in bulk and converts between naming styles such as camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case — a time saver for API fields and constants.
How to use it
- Paste the original text
- Pick the target style below

Questions people ask
- What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?
- Only the first letter: camelCase starts lowercase (userName), PascalCase uppercase (UserName). Languages differ in convention — Java methods vs .NET classes, for example.
- When should I use kebab-case?
- URLs, file names, CSS classes and HTML data attributes. Spaces are illegal or awkward there, and search engines treat hyphens as word separators.
- How are acronyms handled?
- Conventions disagree: XMLHttpRequest-style acronyms may become xml-http-request or xmlh-ttp-request depending on the splitter. Check the output for acronyms and normalise your input if needed.
